The officers of UST High School and the members of the Board of Trustees of the USTHS Alumni Association Inc. (USTHS AAI) invite you to be part of the exclusive, distinguished body of UST High alumni who shall be The Mighty 400!

The Mighty 400, born in this, the 400th year of our majestic alma mater, the University of Santo Tomas, is aimed at helping UST realize a new edifice within its hallowed campus: the Thomasian Alumni Center (TAC). The TAC, which will be completed by early 2012, will be located near the P. Noval gate, right where the UST Gym has stood (and which itself would be reborn as the grand UST Sports Complex across the College of Engineering building). The Gym’s well-preserved, historically significant façade shall become the TAC’s own façade and will serve as the welcoming visage to what would now be every Thomasian’s home away from home within UST grounds.

The TAC will have several function rooms, facilities and offices to cater to the needs of UST alumni for gatherings, meetings and other functions, as well as hotel-quality accommodation and amenities. And to help make this vision become a full-fledged reality, all of the TAC’s spaces are to be named after UST alumni—be it individuals or groups—who have contributed to or will aid in the construction of the TAC by paying for the naming rights to a TAC room, facility or office. Already, many of UST’s collegiate alumni associations, as well as smaller groups of alumni, have secured the naming rights to key areas or rooms of the TAC.

The University of Santo Tomas High School (USTHS) and the UST High School Alumni Association Inc. (USTHSAAI) are calling on all alumni of UST High based anywhere in the world, and belonging to any of the batches from the 1940s all the way to just last year, to come home to their Alma Mater by taking part in the USTHS Grand Alumni Homecoming 2012!

The USTHS GAH 2012 takes place on February 4, 2012, Saturday, 5 pm onwards at the UST Plaza Mayor and Benavides Garden (right in front of UST’s iconic Main Building, which has been declared a National Cultural Treasure by the Philippines’ National Museum, owing to its historical value). The GAH happens just one week after the closing events of UST’s own yearlong Quadricentennial/400th-year celebration.

The USTHS GAH theme is “ Still High with UST High” and the USTHS, the USTHSAAI and the GAH 2012 Organizing Committee intend for this huge event to be the biggest USTHS alumni homecoming yet—coinciding as it does with the conclusion of UST’s 400th‐anniversary celebration, en route to the 500th foundation anniversary of UST, the Philippines’ and Asia’s oldest university.
