Thomasian in Need
Last February, our fellow alumni ROMBERT DE BORJA  (USTHS Batch 78, UST Engg Batch 83) suffered 3 cardiac arrests in Australia. He immediately fell into a coma and was provided with life support. After a few weeks, the doctors in Australia decided that it was time to remove his life support.
Rombert's wife (Joanne) and his sister, however, insisted on bringing him back home to the Philippines for further treatments at the Makati Medical Center. After all, the doctors in Australia have all but given up hope for Rombert...
On May 7, Rombert was flown - complete with life support - on  chartered flight and was taken to the Emergency Room of the Makati Med.
He was in ICU from the 8th till the 31st.
The powers of prayer have kept him going...prayers said by his family, relatives, friends, and fellow alumni from the USTHS and UST Engg.
On May 31, Mother Immaculata, a healing nun from the Reparation Sisters in Tagaytay, was asked to come to pray over Rombert for his fast recovery. During the pray over, Rombert gripped the hands of Joanne (his wife) tightly which surprised her as this was the first time he had shown this kind of strength. Joanne and Rhombert cried (tears of joy) during the pray over and Mother Immaculata revealed that a Miracle would happen.
Indeed the following week, Rombert was transferred to a regular room from ICU and his ventillator was removed.

Two masses will be held for the intention of Rombert's complete healing on July 3, 6PM, at the Sacred Heart Parish in Kamuning, and on July 6, 6PM, at the Don Bosco Parish in Makati.
We call upon you,Thomasians, to join us in our prayers for our fellow alumni.
We also seek some financial assistance to help defray the costs in saving this Thomasian's life as he is still in hospital to this day. Every little bit will help. Should you be willing to help, please send me an email at
Respectfully yours,
