New Set of USTHSAAI Officers Sworn In

The members of the new Board of Directors of the UST High School Alumni Association, Inc. were sworn in on August 7, 2009, at the UST High School Auditorium. USTHS Principal Eden G. Tolentino administered the oath to the new Board, following the First Friday and pre-Feast of St. Dominic Mass held at 2 p.m. at the UST Chapel and with the present USTHS students witnessing.

The latest Board of Directors, whose term will last two years up to May 2011, is now led by President Liberty “Leebai” Esquivias-Gamboa (USTHS Batch’78), who was previously the USTHSAAI Vice President. Concurrently the Board’s Vice President and Treasurer is Exequiel “Quiel” Delgado (Batch ’81). Retaining their respective positions are Atty. Enrique “EKing” Galvez (Batch ’65), the Corporate Secretary, and Emil Padilla (Batch ’82), the Auditor. Laureen “Oyette” Morales (Batch ’73), Alfred “Aped” Santos (Batch ’77) and Edilberto “Bert” Sulat Jr. (Batch ’86) complete the Board as Trustees.

The new Board is complemented by an expanded Council of Advisers, comprised by Raul “Rocky” Siasoco (Batch ’77, the immediate past USTHSAAI President), Antonio “Tony” Ereñeta (Batch ’58), Rafael “Jun” Pascual Jr. (Batch ’61), Baltazar “Bal” Endriga (Batch ’56) and Elisea “Bebet” Gillera-Gozun (Batch ’68).

The new USTHSAAI Board of Directors will oversee and support the efforts of the jubilarian batches involved in the February 2010 and February 2011 Grand Alumni Homecomings. USTHS alumni across all batches and around the world are enjoined to support the various activities and projects of the USTHSAAI, foremost of which is the maintenance of the Association’s scholarship program that was established in 2008 to support at least one incumbent student in every year level of UST High School.
